Episode 8: Momprenuer with Lebo

In this episode, as we celebrate women’s month, we talk to Lebo, who shared her beautiful work of creating beautiful spaces in partnership with her daughter Rea.

Relebogile Phadime also known as Lebo is an admitted Attorney who is currently working as a Compliance Officer in a Corporate Investment Bank and turned entrepreneur from Soweto.

Lebo is a single mother to a teenage daughter Reabetswe. While juggling her career she runs an events management and travels experience company called 'Decor and Travels by Lebo'.

Her business caters for events such as weddings birthday celebrations, and bridal and baby showers, while the travel aspect of the business focuses on creating curated group travel experiences.

Lebo had not planned on becoming a single parent, it was after a break-up from a nine-year relationship with the father of her daughter that she realized that she would become one of those moms, a “baby mama”.

But having her child at a young age she quickly realized that this title was limiting and so she set forth on her journey towards entrepreneurship.

She started out working as an Attorney before joining the banking fraternity, once she had solidified her career, she then tapped back into her long-life childhood dream which is inspired by her love for transforming spaces!

Lebo aspires to build a legacy for herself and for her child (and hopefully children in the near future).

She and her daughter have launched a balloon artistry workshop called The Balloon Popper which is aimed at imparting skills that enables their trainees to establish or enhance their own balloon artistry businesses.

Lebo also strongly believes that balloon artistry like any other form of art carries the power of healing.

As an event planner, her weekends are spent on the road and as such Lebo and her daughter work together on her business to organically grow into the business.
